Goal
Redesign & develop the ISNA Canada website to help users easily find prayer times, resources, and donate to ISNA Canada.
ISNA Canada (Islamic Society of North America – Canada) is a community-rooted organization that has been serving Canadian Muslims since 1982. With a mission to foster vibrant, faith-driven communities, ISNA offers spiritual services, educational programming, and support systems that empower individuals across all stages of life. Their work bridges faith, knowledge, and action, addressing the evolving needs of the Muslim community within Canada’s cultural and social landscape.
To help them better connect with their community and support their expanding initiatives, we redesigned the ISNA Canada website to feel welcoming, purposeful, and easy to navigate. Whether someone is looking to check local prayer times, be informed about their spaces, or explore upcoming events, the new site serves as a central hub for spiritual and community engagement. A major focus was making key services more accessible online, especially for those seeking prayer times, learning about ISNA’s spaces, or participating in community programs.

Prayer Times Feature
A key feature of the ISNA Canada website is the dynamic Prayer Times tool, accessible from multiple areas across the site. Whether visitors are browsing the homepage, exploring the dedicated prayer times section, or viewing specific mosque pages, they can quickly check accurate daily schedules, select future dates, and find times based on location. The tool’s design is optimized for mobile users, allowing easy access and seamless interaction on smaller screens. This custom-built component was developed using React and seamlessly integrated into the WordPress framework, ensuring reliable performance and intuitive functionality across all devices.
Spaces Page
The spaces page was designed to showcase ISNA Canada’s physical presence across the country, giving users a meaningful way to connect with each of its three main centres: Mississauga, Toronto, and Yellowknife. Each space features its own dedicated profile with prayer times, a description of the location’s significance, and upcoming events. Visitors can quickly access relevant details, whether they’re looking for the next prayer time or browsing programs happening at a specific location. The layout brings together utility and storytelling, emphasizing both the scale of ISNA’s community reach and the individual character of each centre.
Events Calendar
The Events page was designed to give users a seamless, intuitive way to explore ISNA Canada’s wide range of activities. The interactive calendar allows visitors to easily navigate through events, whether they’re looking for educational programs, social gatherings, or wellness activities. Each event listing is presented with clear, concise information, enabling users to quickly find the date, time, and location. The design emphasizes accessibility and ease of use, ensuring that members of the community can stay engaged and up to date with upcoming opportunities, whether they’re on desktop or mobile.
Mobile Responsive
The entire ISNA Canada website is mobile responsive, and the intention was to allow users to access all of the crucial information whenever and however they wanted. We put a massive emphasis on mobile compatibility so that users would have a seamless experience across devices.
