Intermediate WordPress Developer

We are looking for an Intermediate WordPress Developer to join our team and take organizations and brands online. In this role, you will be responsible for turning pixel-perfect mockups into live websites using PHP and a variety of front-end languages. You will be responsible for the development of a website from start to launch, as well as post-launch adjustments and extensions. You will use animations, semantic code, and industry best practices to polish websites to the highest standard.

We’re looking for someone with an eye for detail, and who can think critically about website components to effectively communicate and work alongside the design team. Here’s some of the qualifications that we’re looking for:

• You can take a design from concept to completion with coding, pixel-perfection, and attention to detail.
• You’re an expert in a wide variety of front-end and back-end languages
• You have a strong understanding of WordPress development practices for both themes and plugins.
• Your code includes Object Oriented Programming, DRY development, consistent naming conventions, and thorough documentation.
• You’re a problem solver who is always looking for ways to improve the user experience.
• You’re a creative person who cares deeply about UI and UX, and you love pairing with other designers to create and build beautiful, delightful experiences.
• You’re experiment-driven and love working with business people to enhance their website’s user flow and site performance.
• You’re continuously working to improve your craft.
• You have an existing portfolio that you can share with us.

Intermediate WordPress Developer Requirements:

• You’re based out of Ontario, Canada and have a portfolio you can share with us.
• You have 5+ years of experience designing and developing websites on WordPress
• Expertise in turning pixel-perfect mockups into live websites
• An understanding of industry trends and experience with WordPress
• The ability to solve problems and think outside the box
• You’re an expert in: HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, ReactJS, PHP, Webpack, NPM, and REST APIs
• Knowledge of GSAP and other JavaScript libraries is an asset.
• You’re comfortable with and have experience with WordPress troubleshooting and debugging.
• You’re diligent, with strong time management skills and the ability to accurately communicate timelines.
